Approach
My counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I integrate person-centered,
trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused strategies to support students’
academic, social, and emotional well-being. I believe in meeting students where they are,
honoring their culture and identity, and building strong relationships with families and teachers.
As both an educator and counselor, I value empowerment, skill-building, and helping children
discover confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
About Me
I was born and raised on Oʻahu and have always felt called to serve Hawaiʻi’s keiki and
community. After graduating from Chaminade with my bachelor’s degree in 2019, I worked as a
Registered Behavior Technician supporting children with autism and other developmental needs
for approximately five years. This experience strengthened my passion for serving our youth as
these ABA services focus on children and adolescents.
I later completed my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Chaminade while
continuing to grow my expertise through school-based work, assessment training, and teaching at
the university level.
Today, I serve as the Lower School Counselor at Sacred Hearts Academy for grades Prek K–6
while also teaching undergraduate psychology. My practice is rooted in empathy, cultural
humility, and the belief that every student can thrive with the right support, environment, and
encouragement.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, caring for my dog, refining
my baking skills, connecting with the community, and continuing my own journey of learning,
reflection, and growth.
