Approach
I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist that incorporates strength based, positive psychology and mindfulness. I specialize in individual and couples/family therapy. “Success as a therapist is not found in doing something for the client, but rather in being something for the client” by Ili Rivera Walter is one of my favorite quotes. The therapy process is a view from a place of growth and our goal is to have the healing make the process better for the future. Let’s work together as a team and figure it out.
About me
I grew up in the mitten state, Michigan. I love swimming, snowmobiling, riding horses, golfing, pickleball, tennis, 4 wheeling, fishing and hanging out with my family and our dogs/cat. When I graduated college, I wanted to experience living in other states. We have a large Hawaiian family here so that always brought us back to Hawaii. Traveling and working with a variety of people is inspirational. I started my career in Hawaii as an Active Duty Army Behavioral Health Tech. I received my degree as Marriage and Family Therapist in 2017. I will complete with my PhD in General Psychology from in 2023.
